about

Meant as a follow-up to In The Village Of The Apple Sun, I felt this album was way too "plastic" when it was released. Meaning, too thrown together, too "insisted it be groovy." I was living in Cambridge, gardening every day and trying to be 21st Century Syd. Yet Psychedelic Mynde indeed turned out to be a really far-out, weirdo album, even if I didn't know it at the time. It's got a handful of one-offs, like "Cosmic Rockery" and "Old Doctor's Bag," and all sorts of experimental joints. Not bad, really! Photo by Karen Eng, design by Julia VBH.
