about

God, some of these titles! As with the two preceding tracks on the album, this one came out of me messing with a specific bit of gear. In this case, it was a DSI Evolver I scored in 2016. I programmed a couple MIDI lines and let the synth run all over itself. I kept adding bits, as one does and ended up with something that sits a little outside my usual range, maybe. I think this may be the only song on Antronica 2 to feature Mellotron. There's a guy in Berlin with an M400. I head across town and track with it as often as I can. And those may be Colin Moulding's hand claps! Colin sent me some claps for High Noon, and I've been using them on all sorts ever since! (Oh, and for the Heads, I think this is my first and only use of proper TR-808. Mellotron bloke has one, and yeah, I get why those boxes are so loved!)
